Wedding Smile Makeovers

Updated: Jan 29, 2023

A Beautiful Makeover for your Smile to ensure it's camera ready always, even after your big day.

A Wedding Smile Makeover is a cosmetic dentistry procedure designed to help the bride and groom achieve their ideal smile in time for their wedding day. It typically involves a combination of cosmetic dental treatments such as Teeth Whitening, Bonded Composite Veneers, Ceramic Veneers, and Orthodontics to enhance the appearance of the teeth and improve their overall health and function.

The process of a wedding smile makeover usually begins with a consultation with a Cosmetic dentist. During the consultation, the dentist will examine the teeth and gums to determine the best course of action for each individual. This may include a thorough cleaning, X-rays, and dental impressions to create a plan of action.

Teeth Whitening is one of the most common cosmetic dental treatments used in a wedding smile makeover. This can be done through in-office whitening or at-home whitening. In-office whitening is typically faster and more effective than at-home whitening, but it is also more expensive. At-home whitening involves wearing custom-made trays filled with a special gel for a specified amount of time each day.

Composite Bonding is another cosmetic dental treatment that is often used in a wedding smile makeover. Bonding involves the application of a tooth-colored resin material to the teeth to improve the appearance of chipped, cracked, or misshapen teeth. The resin material is applied to the teeth and then molded, shaped, and polished to match the surrounding teeth thus instantly uplifting the smile for a more aesthetic appearance. These do require regular follow up appointments as these aren't as lasting or strong as ceramic materials and thus tend to wear or chip with time.

Ceramic Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are custom-made to fit over the front of the teeth. They are used to improve the appearance of discolored, stained, or misshapen teeth. Veneers are typically applied in two visits to the cosmetic dentist. During the first visit, the dentist will prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of enamel. During the second visit, the veneers will be permanently bonded to the teeth. The dentist can correct the size and shape & colour of your teeth and also make some minor alignment corrections if any required. Ceramic Veneers greatly change the appearance of an individual and offers longer lasting and predictable results with little or no maintenance required.

Orthodontic treatments such as clear aligners or traditional braces can also be part of a wedding smile makeover. Clear aligners are removable, virtually invisible trays that are worn over the teeth to gradually straighten them. Traditional braces are metal brackets and wires that are attached to the teeth to correct misaligned or crowded teeth. Orthodontic treatments can take several months to several years to complete, so it is important to start the process well in advance of the wedding day.

Overall, a Wedding Smile Makeovers enhance the appearance of teeth, and can provide the bride and groom with a beautiful, confident smile on their wedding day. It can also improve the overall health and function of the teeth and gums, making it easier to maintain good oral health in the future. However, it is important to carefully consider the costs and benefits of each treatment and to work closely with a Cosmetic Dentist to determine the best course of action for each individual.
